Peter Rempel

Certified Archivist,

Business Owner

My name is Peter Rempel. I have been working in archives since my student years. In 1991 I graduated from the Institute of History and Archives (RGGU) and for more than thirty years he worked as a research assistant in hundreds of archives in more than 70 cities of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Germany and other countries. I know all the intricacies of working with ancient (and not so ancient) documents. I supplement my work in archives with local searches: interviews with old-timers and witnesses, copying home archives and photographs, localization, inspection and recording of disappearing and vanished settlements, camps, burials, buildings, searches for written documents and artifacts at the site of buildings. Organizer and participant of dozens of expeditions and research trips, including in the most inaccessible areas.

I really love my job. I want and can help preserve the memory of people and events of the past. Recover forgotten names. Recreate the events and circumstances of the lives of departed people. Confirm (or refute) legends and traditions. Find out the names and circumstances of life of people “erased” from family history. The history of each family is unique and contains many mysteries and secrets... If you are interested, contact me!
